Tips for Combating Dry, Thirsty Curls
Daily Tips for Adding Moisture to Dry Curls:
1. Always apply your wash day Jessicurl conditioner as a leave-in to soaking wet hair after cleansing and conditioning your curls.
2. To add additional moisture to your conditioning, add our Oil Blend, which can be applied in several different ways. A few drops of Oil Blend can be added to your wash-out conditioner application before applying it to your hair in the shower by mixing the conditioner and Oil Blend in the palm of your hand, applying and rinsing. Oil Blend can be raked through soaking wet hair in the shower before cleansing and conditioning your hair. Oil Blend can also be added to a leave-in application of conditioner after cleansing and conditioning your hair by mixing a few drops of Oil Blend and conditioner in the palm of your hand and raking through wet hair.
Deep Conditioning Treatments:
We recommend weekly deep conditioning treatments to keep your curls moisturized. Apply Jessicurl Deep Conditioning Treatment to clean, wet hair. Comb through with a wide tooth comb and let it settle in for 30-60 minutes. We do recommend wearing a type of shower cap during the treatment, as the heat generated from your scalp will allow the conditioner to better penetrate your hair. Rinse and style as usual.
Using with Heat: If you want a deeper conditioning treatment, apply heat from a heating source to your hair during the deep conditioning process. This can be done by using a microwaveable heating cap, warming the outside of your cap with a blow dryer, wearing a hooded or bonnet dryer or using a hair steamer.
Adding Hot Oil: If you want a more intense conditioning treatment, you can add a few drops of our Oil Blend to the conditioner before applying it to your hair.
Hot Oil Treatment: Using a separate heat safe container, heat enough oil to cover your hair by placing it in a small pot or bowl of boiling water. Heat the oil for a minute or so, until it is warm to the touch. Apply to either damp or dry hair. Massage the oil into your hair strands, starting at the root and continuing to the end of the hair strand. Leave on for 30-60 minutes. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual, making sure to remove all of the oil from your hair. You may want to shampoo your hair twice to ensure that all of the oil is removed.

Best Curl Enhancement for Fine Hair:
Apply Aloeba Daily Conditioner as a leave-in to soaking wet hair. Then flip your head upside down, apply Gelebration Spray by raking the product through your hair while it is still soaking wet. Then using a microfiber towel, lightly scrunch out any excess water. Then rake Confident Coils Styling Solution through your hair and scrunch to encourage curl.
For Softer Hold: Diffuse on a low-heat and low-airflow setting until 75% dry. Let curls air dry until 100% dry. Lightly scrunch out the crunch for a softer style.
For Stronger Hold: Diffuse on a low-heat and low-airflow setting until 75% dry. Let curls air dry until 100% dry and spray a light application of Aquavescent Hair Spray over dry curls.
Best Curl Enhancement for Medium and Thick (Coarse) Hair:
Apply Too Shea! Extra Moisturizing Conditioner as a leave-in to soaking wet hair. Then flip your head upside down and apply Rockin’ Ringlets Styling Potion by raking it through soaking wet hair. Then using a microfiber towel, lightly scrunch out any excess water. Next rake Spiralicious Styling Gel through your hair and scrunch to encourage curl.
For Looser Curls: Diffuse on a low-heat and low-airflow setting until 75% dry. Let curls air dry until 100% dry. Lightly scrunch out the crunch for a softer style.
For Tighter Curls: Diffuse on a low-heat and low-airflow setting until 75% dry. Let curls air dry until 100% dry.
To Add Shine & Moisture: Lightly scrunch in a small amount of Oil Blend on sections of your curls.

Best Styler Combinations for Maximum Days Between Wash Days for Medium & Thick (Coarse) Hair:
After applying conditioner as a leave-in to soaking wet hair, apply one application of Confident Coils Styling Solution followed by one application of Spiralicious Styling Gel. Flip hair upside down and rake Confident Coils through soaking wet hair. Using a microfiber towel, lightly scrunch out any excess water. Then apply one application of Spiralicious by raking it through wet hair and then scrunching to encourage curl.

Tips for Altering Your Curl Pattern:
There are some curl types that can have curl enhancers applied to their hair and see a distinct change in how their curl pattern looks. Though curl enhancers work to create stronger curls on all hair types, for certain hair types with 3c-4c curl patterns, the change in the curl pattern when using curl enhancers can look significant.
For Fine Hair: Curl types 3c-4c can use our styling curl enhancer Gelebration Spray and create a curl pattern with stronger definition and curl clumping. To obtain hold for these fine curls we recommend applying Confident Coils after Gelebration Spray to allow your style to remain days after your wash day.
For Medium and Thick (Coarse) Curls: Curl types 3c-4c can use our styling curl enhancer Rockin’ Ringlets Styling Potion and create a curl pattern with stronger definition and curl clumping. To obtain hold for these styled curls we recommend applying Spiralicious Styling Gel after Rockin’ Ringlets to allow your style to remain days after your wash day.

Getting the Strongest Hold with Jessicurl Products:
To obtain the strongest amount of hold possible using Jessicurl products we recommend using our Spiralicious Styling Gel and Aquavescent Hair Spray. For curls that are looking for curl enhancement and stronger definition and curl clumping, these products can be applied after applying Gelebration Spray for fine hair or Rockin’ Ringlets for medium and thick (coarse) hair. Apply Spiralicious Styling Gel to soaking wet hair, allow to air dry or diffuse and apply Aquavescent Hair Spray to curls. Spray a light application of Aquavescent Hair Spray on dry curls to apply lightweight strong hold and finish your style.

How to Achieve Your Best Refresh Curls
Refreshing with Curl Enhancement:
To refresh your curls after your wash day when you want to have more curl enhancement, spray Awe Inspiraling Refresher Spray onto dry hair and scrunch. For added volume this can be done with hair flipped upside down. Air dry or diffuse.
Refreshing with Curl Enhancement and Medium Hold for Fine Hair:
To refresh your curls when you want curl enhancement and more hold, spray Awe Inspiraling Spray onto dry curls. Next mix several sprays of Awe Inspiraling Spray with Confident Coils Styling Solution in the palm of your hands by rubbing them together and scrunch into curls.
Refreshing with Curl Enhancement and Stronger Hold for Medium and Thick (Coarse) Curls:
To refresh your curls when you want to have more curl enhancement and stronger hold, spray Awe Inspiraling Spray onto dry curls until they are very damp. Next mix several sprays of Awe Inspiraling Spray with Spiralicious Styling Gel in the palm of your hands by rubbing them together and scrunch into curls.
Refreshing with Curl Enhancement and Additional Moisture for Curls:
To refresh your curls with curl enhancement and additional moisture, spray Awe Inspiraling Spray onto dry curls. Place a few drops of Oil Blend into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together to evenly distribute the oil and scrunch it into your curls.
Refreshing with Stronger Definition for your Ringlets:
Apply Awe Inspiraling Refresher Spray to curls by sectioning out one curl clump at a time, applying a spray of Awe Inspiraling Spray and finger coil the curl clump. Repeat this process throughout all of your curls and enjoy well defined, refreshed curls.
