This simple blend of moisturizing oils will add softness and shine to any hair and curl type.

Our Oil Blend uses oils that are easily absorbed into the hair, sealing in hydration, strengthening the hair strand, helping to tame frizz and protecting from environmental damage. We think you’ll find that the ratio is lovely – not super heavy but enough that you know you’ve put some groovy oils in your curls.

This stuff is super versatile. Smooth a few drops through wet or dry hair to add softness and shine. Use to smooth over frizzies midday or with heat for a hot oil treatment. Apply a few drops with your styling products for extra moisture or use with Jessicurl Deep Conditioning Treatment to make an even more intense combo. It can also be used as a body, bath or massage oil. If oil solidifies in cold weather, stand bottle in a dish of hot water for 3-5 minutes and shake well.

My oil solidified. What do I do?

If product solidifies in cold weather, stand bottle in a dish of hot water for 3-5 minutes and shake well.

How often should I do Deep Conditioning or Hot Oil Treatments?

We recommend doing Deep Conditioning and/or Hot Oil Treatments regularly, about once a week.

Deep Conditioning Treatment: Apply Jessicurl Deep Conditioning Treatment to clean, wet hair. You can add a few drops of our Oil Blend to the conditioner before applying it to your hair. Comb through with a wide tooth comb and let it settle in for 30-60 minutes. Apply heat from a heating source to your hair during the deep conditioning process. This can be done by using a microwaveable heating cap, warming the outside of your cap with a blow dryer, wearing a hooded or bonnet dryer or using a hair steamer. This heat generated from your scalp will allow the conditioner to better penetrate your hair. Rinse and style as usual.

Hot Oil Treatment: Using a separate heat safe container, heat enough oil to cover your hair by placing it in a small pot or bowl of boiling water. Heat the oil for a minute or so, until it is warm to the touch. Apply to either damp or dry hair. Massage the oil into your hair strands, starting at the root and continuing to the end of the hair strand. Leave on for 30-60 minutes. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual, making sure to remove all of the oil from your hair. You may want to shampoo your hair twice to ensure that all of the oil is removed.

How do I scrunch out the crunch (break the cast) without causing my hair to frizz?

Adding 1-3 drops of Oil Blend to your hands before scrunching out the crunch can help prevents any frizz from forming and add some moisture to your hair.

I have to be careful because my hair is so fine. So fo me, even a smidgeon of her oil is too much. That said, I now live in Oklahoma, and I panicked until I remembered I could mail order my two main can't- manage-without-them products, Awe-Inspiraling Spray and Gelebration Spray.

I’ve tried different brands of oils. I always come back to Jessi Curl. It’s not too thick or thin. Makes my hair soft and helps to controls fly aways. I mix it with leave in conditioner and comb thru hair.

Messy but moisturizing

I know this is supposed to be a sample but the awkwardness of getting into it and then keeping the oil from getting everywhere (presumably the reason for the little bag it comes in) is challenging. It's also hard not to get too much as a little goes a long way; but once it's on my fingers I can tell the difference it makes on my hair. On cold/low-humidity days when it feels dry or stringy I can scrunch the ends or run it through my hair to add softness and definition. I'm aware of only one other company that offers a product like this, and the ingredients of this one are less exotic and closer to home.
